10 Supplements That Eased My Fibromyalgia

I've got some time to kill as I'm waiting in a hospital - so I thought I'd write this. I feel pretty healthy, but as I look around and overhear conversations about how doctors don't know what's going on, pumping the patients with drugs to manage their pain, I thought to myself, there are some options that people should try. There are so many natural vitamins, supplements and minerals that can be used to help with the ease of Fibromyalgia symptoms. These are 10 that I have used to help ease, and even regress my Fibromyalgia:


1. Cort RX

Cort RX is a natural supplement by ATP Science, which helps reduce Cortisol (very simple explanation: Cortisol is a by-product of anxiety, stress and depression). Cortisol can play a huge role in how bad your Fibro is on any particular day. This stuff is gold... literally... it's gold in colour, due mainly to it's primary ingredient, turmeric.

2. SamE

SamE helps with neurotransmitters which manage the cognitive functions that you may feel yourself starting to lose with Fibromyalgia. Common symptoms of Fibromyalgia are "Fibro Fog", less body control, and sometimes even slurring your words. SamE is best taken in the morning, as it can help with the release of energy. SamE can be made in the body via a chemical reaction of an essential amino acid, but this process may be prohibited with Fibro, and a supplement may be needed. SamE is involved in the formation and breakdown of chemicals throughout your body, including hormones and proteins.

3. CoQ10 Enzyme

CoQ10 is a supplement that has been used to create a better release of ATP (energy) through the mitochondrion (the 'power house' of your cells). Because CoQ10 is high in anti-oxidants, it can also help with fighting cancer, heart disease and male infertility.

4. Alpha Mars

Another one by ATP Science is Alpha Mars. Most men with Fibromyalgia have an abnormally low testosterone count, which results in low energy, strength and power. Alpha Mars can increase men's testosterone levels by up to 20% in the first week.


5. Acetyl L-Carnitine

Acetyl L-Carnitine is an amino acid found mainly in fish, eggs and meat which increases the efficiency of energy travelling throughout the body, it's like an express route for your glycogen through your blood stream.


6. Barley Grass

This super green powder has a high concentration of B1, B2, B6, B12, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Potassium, Protein, Amino Acids, Fibre and Enzymes. It's great in morning smoothies and just a few of the benefits of the aforementioned minerals include improving the immune system, increased energy and beating those pesky food cravings. 

7. T432+

Hi again with the ATP Science Stuff! I found that with Fibro, your body doesn't burn fat the way it should. This is due to primarily to insulin resistance building up from having a slower metabolism. The ingredients of T432+ are all natural and can help both men and women who tend to grow 'love handles' quite easily, and helps prevent or ease PCOS in women.


8. Acidophilus

This sounds more like a Greek God, but this digestive acid improves your gut flora to maintain a healthy immune system and assist with problems like Candida Overgrowth and Leaky Gut. I would team this up with doing an "anti-candida" diet which is low in gluten, sugar and inflammatory foods!

9. Delta Zone

Delta Zone is a supplement by BPM Labs. Sleep is one of the most difficult things for a Fibro sufferer. I had 3 hours sleep the other night because I had run out of Delta Zone. The main ingredients are Phenibut, Korean Kimchi Extract and Amino Acids. I find that Delta Zone gets me to sleep easily and I wake up in the morning as fresh as a daisy. Getting a good night's sleep can improve productivity and lessen the effects of Fibro during the day! Plus, it helps stimulate Human Growth Hormone and promotes fat burning while you sleep.


10. Turmeric

Turmeric can be found in Cort RX, but not everyone is able to get ATP Science products. If you can get you hands on turmeric capsules it can have dramatic changes for those with Fibromyalgia, including easing stress, anxiety, inflammation, pain and improving brain functionality.


Alongside a healthy diet, being drug free, rarely consuming alcohol, plus a consistent exercise regime, has seen a vast improvement in my Fibromyalgia, so I thought I would share it incase you're sick and tired of being sick and tired like I was.
