Mango cherry frozen yogurt is a fruity and satisfying sweet treat sure to be your new favorite dessert. You’ll see that the recipe calls for ataulfo or honey mangos because they’re velvety smooth with little to no fibrous texture, which helps create a smooth frozen yogurt base. That, combined with the mangos’ sweet, honey-like flavor with juicy bites of cherries, makes each spoonful super satisfying. You can make mango cherry frozen yogurt with or without an ice cream maker. Instructions for both methods are provided!
Ingredients
Instructions
- Add the yogurt to a blender with the chopped mango, granulated sweetener, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
- Blend until smooth. Taste and add more sweetener if needed.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
- Add the yogurt mixture to an ice cream maker and churn according to the packaging instructions. Add the cherries after 10 minutes of churning.
- Serve immediately or transfer the frozen yogurt to a pan, cover it with plastic, and freeze for 6 hours.
Notes
If you cannot find ataulfo mangos, use two large red mangos.
